Carmarthenshire Archives is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Archives Assistant to support the care, cataloguing and accessibility of the county’s documentary heritage. The post holder will play a key role in delivering a professional, public‑facing service, ensuring a consistently high‑quality user experience. The role also provides essential administrative and clerical support, with duties shared between staffing the public search room and working in the strongrooms. This position is ideal for someone with a strong interest in local history or archives, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work accurately with historical and confidential records.
Level 3 - You will need a good level of conversational Welsh. Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
