We are looking for a fun, caring breakfast assistant to join our Breakfast Club. The role includes ensuring the food preparation area is clean prior to preparing and serving a nutritious breakfast. Other duties include general kitchen and dining room duties such as setting up and clearing away tables, and general cleaning duties. The position is 3.75 hours per week / 45 minutes per day, Monday to Friday before 9am, term time only.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure food preparation area is clean prior to preparing and serving breakfast.
  • Perform general kitchen and dining room duties (setting up, clearing tables).
  • Perform general cleaning duties.

Candidate Requirements:

  • The ability to build good relationships with adults and children based on mutual respect.
  • Knowledge of basic Food Safety and Health and Safety. This would be an advantage, but is not essential as full training will be provided.
  • Good communication and people skills.
  • The ability to work on their own and as part of a team.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.

Additional Requirements:

  • Level 2 – You will need a basic level of conversational Welsh. Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
  • An Enhanced with Barred List Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be requested for this job. It is an offence to apply for the role if the applicant is barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children or adults at risk.
