It has grown significantly since it was established in 2018 and provides 24/7 bilingual call monitoring and other support services including telecare and telehealth alarm monitoring, TEC installation, community welfare response, lone working monitoring and out-of-hours housing repairs to local authorities, health boards, housing associations, educational settings, private companies and residents.
As a customer assistant, you'll be at the frontline of delivering exceptional customer service. You will be handling inbound calls from customers in need of urgent out-of-hours assistance, efficiently allocating jobs to contractors, and ensuring timely responses to emergencies. Full flexibility to work day and night shifts, including weekends and bank holidays is required. Candidates should also have a good understanding of computers with knowledge of Microsoft Office. If you're a dedicated team player who can handle a varied workload, we'd love to hear from you.
Extensive training is given during the initial three-month period. The ability to communicate in Welsh is essential. It is an offence for someone to apply or volunteer for work for which they have been barred via the DBS barred lists.
A Basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be requested for this job. Level 3 - You will need a good level of conversational Welsh. Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.

Equality monitoring information is not accessible by recruiting managers at any stage.
We are committed to safe and fair recruitment, safeguarding, and protecting those we care for and serve. We make sure all our staff are vetted, selected, trained, and supervised fairly and to a high standard so that they can provide safe, effective, and compassionate care.

Right to work eligibility: Every employer in the UK must carry out a Right to Work check before a new employee starts work. This is a legal requirement under the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006 and applies to every worker, regardless of nationality. All applicants will be asked about their nationality and whether they are legally allowed to work in the United Kingdom. This is to confirm whether you are eligible to apply for the vacancy and to work for the Council or its partner organisations. Carmarthenshire County Council holds a valid sponsorship licence. However, applicants who require sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route must meet all eligibility criteria set out by the UK Government under the points-based immigration system.
