Delta Personnel are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 1 Shunter Driver to start immediately working Monday to Friday - 1pm to 10pm.
This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and safety-focused driver looking for regular work in a busy manufacturing environment.
The Role
- Shunting trailers and vehicles around the site safely and efficiently
- Manoeuvring vehicles into loading and parking bays
- Coupling and uncoupling trailers
- Carrying out vehicle safety checks
- Working closely with the transport and warehouse teams
- Following all site, road safety and health & safety procedures
- Keeping the yard organised and ensuring vehicles are positioned correctly
- Working to strict schedules and operational deadlines
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving licence
- Previous shunting/yard experience preferred
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Good understanding of vehicle safety and site procedures
- Excellent reversing and manoeuvring skills
- Reliable, punctual and professional attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
