Delta Personnel is searching for Team Leaders - Industrial Engineering (Electrical Bias) for automation and materials handling installation projects located across the UK. £50,000 basic salary based on a 37.5 hour contracted week, plus company vehicle and fuel card provided with the option for personal use. £66,000 to £67,000+ realistic annual earnings based on average 50 paid hour working weeks, with Team Leaders paid from the moment they leave home until they return home.
A typical week may look something like:
- 37.5 hours paid at standard rate
- First 2 hours per day over 7.5 hours paid at flat rate
- Any additional hours paid at 1.5x
- Saturdays paid at 1.5x
- Sundays paid at 2x
- Weekend work is considered extremely uncommon and reportedly has not been required for a considerable period.
- Typical working hours are generally around 07:30 to 17:30 Monday to Friday, although this can vary depending on project location and travelling time returning home.
This is a home based role involving travel to customer sites across the UK, installing automated warehouse, conveyor and materials handling equipment. Candidates located within approximately 1.5 hours of Kettering are preferred for office visits and project mobilisation requirements.
We’re after electrically biased Team Leaders with strong hands on electrical installation experience. Whilst the role is heavily electrical, mechanical knowledge and experience would be a strong advantage. This is a hands on role and not purely supervisory. You will be expected to remain actively involved with installation work whilst leading installation engineers and subcontractors on site.
The role includes:
- Electrical installation of conveyor and automation systems
- Leading installation engineers and subcontractors on site
- Supporting project planning and installation delivery
- Customer and contractor liaison on site
- Mechanical installation work where required
- Supporting commissioning and testing activities
- Reading and working from engineering drawings
- Working on customer sites across the UK
- Staying away when required
Requirements:
- C&G, ECS, JIB or CSCS with supporting electrical qualifications
- 17th or 18th Edition
- Hands on installation experience
- Previous supervisory or team leading experience
- Mechanical knowledge would be advantageous
- Full UK driving licence
- Comfortable staying away from home
