Procurement Lead Location: Camberley Reporting to: Procurement Manager Travel: Up to 20% domestic, 10% European We are seeking an experienced procurement professional ( Procurement Lead ) to manage electrical and electronic commodities within a regulated environment. In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of a portfolio of commodities—initially focusing on Electronic, Electrical and connected items—ensuring suppliers deliver to standards required by our customers and internal stakeholders. What You’ll Be Doing As our Procurement Lead, you will: Select and onboard new suppliers aligned with our commodity strategy. Provide timely pricing and lead‑time responses to support customer quotations. Negotiate and award supplier contracts, ensuring full compliance with commercial, planning, scheduling and New Product Introduction requirements. Validate and verify new supplier parts to ensure quality and compliance. Support the Materials and Planning team with ongoing purchasing and issue resolution. Work closely with suppliers, engineering and production to drive swift resolution of quality concerns. Monitor supplier performance and develop improvement plans where needed. Ensure supplier adherence to ISO9001 and other relevant standards. Support cost estimation and ensure financial accuracy according to company standards. High‑quality supplier relationships and measurable performance improvement. About You You Must Have: Experience managing Electronic, Electrical or related commodities in a regulated, design r‑esponsible environment. Strong understanding of engineering requirements and supplier flow‑down. Ability to audit suppliers and coach them through improvement initiatives. Skilled negotiator with strong analytical capability. Confident communicator able to simplify complex issues into clear summaries. Proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel).
