Community Investment Lead - 12 month FTC£44,634 per annumChelmsfordTemporaryFull-Time
We are looking for a Community Investment Lead on a12 month fixed term contract, to deliver and develop services that help customers live, happy, healthy, safe and connected lives in cohesive communities. By leading the implementation of CHP's Community Investment Strategy and activities across the areas where we operate and with the people who live in our homes.
What you'll be doing
- Lead the development and delivery of Delta's Community Investment strategy, ensuring activities align with organisational priorities and deliver measurable social impact.
- Lead, motivate and develop the Community Investment team, volunteers and community-based staff to deliver high-quality, customer-focused services.
- Lead the identification, development and submission of funding applications and partnership opportunities to secure additional resources and maximise social impact.
- Ensure community investment services are inclusive, accessible and responsive to the diverse needs of customers and communities, actively removing barriers to participation.
- Embed social value principles across the organisation by working with contractors, suppliers and partners to maximise community benefits and opportunities.
What we are looking for
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
- Interest of community investment and participation models, and asset-based community development.
- Experience of working with the community or voluntary sector, with the skills to motivate the community to get involved.
- Understands planning and organisation, ensuring delivery of priorities and actions.
- An ability to build and maintain relationships based on trust and respect.
Please note the office expectancy of this role is as follows: This role will require you in full time initially for a period of training before moving to hybrid working where you will be required onsite 2-3 days a week minimum or as per business need. Please note this role is a community based role and you may be required to travel to other locations within our operating area.

- 37 hours per week - employees may be able to work flexibly by agreement with their line manager, taking account of business need. We operate a hybrid working policy at Delta Housing Ltd.
