As Assistant Front Desk Manager, you'll work closely with the Front Desk Manager to drive service excellence at the heart of the hotel. Acting as a hands-on leader, you'll support the day-to-day operation of the Front Desk, coach and develop associates, and ensure our guests receive warm, professional and seamless service from arrival through to departure.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Support the Front Desk Manager in the daily operation of the Front Desk.
  • Lead by example, providing exceptional guest service and setting high standards for the team.
  • Act as a key point of contact for guests, handling enquiries, concerns and complaints with professionalism and care.
  • Assist in leading, motivating and developing Front Desk associates, creating a positive and engaging working environment.
  • Take responsibility for Front Desk operations in the absence of the Front Desk Manager.
  • Monitor guest feedback and support initiatives to continuously improve guest satisfaction scores.
  • Assist with staffing levels, scheduling and departmental organisation to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Reservations and other hotel departments to deliver a seamless guest journey.
  • Support revenue opportunities through effective room upselling, enrolment programmes and same-day selling initiatives.
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training and performance development of associates.
  • Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards, company policies, health & safety requirements and operational procedures.
  • Contribute ideas and initiatives that enhance both the guest and associate experience.
  • Support the management of lobby operations, ensuring a welcoming, professional and efficient arrival experience for all guests.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who thrives in a guest-focused environment, enjoys leading people and takes pride in delivering outstanding hospitality.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience as an Assistant Front Desk Manager, Front Desk Supervisor, Guest Services Manager or in a similar hotel operations role.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and support a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach.
  • Confidence in handling guest concerns and making effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using hotel property management and front desk systems.
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of how Front Desk operations contribute to overall hotel performance.
  • The ability to build strong working relationships across departments.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining brand standards.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences.

Why Join Us?

At Marriott, you'll be part of a global brand committed to putting people first. You'll have the opportunity to develop your career, work alongside a supportive leadership team and make a real impact on both the guest and associate experience.
