The finance assistant forms part of the on property finance team. This is a full time, permanent position of 40 working hours per week over 5 days.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Checking figures, postings, and documents for accuracy.
- Maintaining files and records of cash and cash equivalents in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Recording, storing, accessing, and/or analysing computerized financial information.
- Classifying, coding, and summarising numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals, ledgers, and/or computers.
- Preparing, maintaining, auditing, and distributing statistical, financial, accounting, auditing, or payroll reports and tables.
- Completing period-end closing procedures and reports as specified.
- Preparing, reviewing, reconciling, and issuing bills, invoices, and account statements according to company procedures.
- Following-up and resolving past due accounts and vendor invoices until payment in full is received or resolved.
- Preparing daily consolidated deposits of cash received by all cash handling employees.
- Documenting, maintaining, communicating, and acting upon all cash variances.
