Salary: Β£12.90 an hour plus quarterly bonus plan (after successful completion of probationary period).
The successful candidate will work collaboratively as part of a small Events Department, reporting to the Senior Events Manager, responding to enquiries from our national sales team, to develop knowledge of booking events at our hotel.
Previous event experience is beneficial but not essential, as training and development opportunities will support you in proactive research, account management, supporting show rounds for potential bookings, and completing on-property bookings via our system. Main Duties:
- Ownership for managing and converting assigned enquiries.
- Coordination of all customer requirements, including communication and detailing events verbally and in writing, up to handover to operations on the event day.
- Work with the Sales Executive and Sales Event Manager to support menu planning, food presentation, meeting room setups, audio-visual, and banquet standards.
- Ensure correct use of systems to maintain booking integrity, consistency, and accuracy.
- Selling to a pre-determined event and group strategy.
- Work within brand standards and system processes.
- Generate revenue and deliver excellent guest service.
- Support Sales Executives in compelling show rounds to secure business.
- Proactively re-engage previous customers and event bookers for future opportunities.
