As a Leisure Club Cleaner, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional Health & Fitness experience for our members and hotel guests. You will ensure that all leisure facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation and will include servicing of both male and female areas. This is a customer-facing role requiring excellent attention to detail, professionalism, and a high level of customer service at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain all leisure club areas, including:
- Male changing rooms
- Floors and surfaces
- Sinks
- Lockers
- Male shower walls and floors
- Male toilets and urinals
- Poolside areas
- Sauna and steam room
Weekly Deep Clean & Maintenance Tasks
- Wipe down, inspect, and clean all lockers.
- Deep clean poolside areas, poolside showers, sauna, and steam room.
- Deep clean showers, drainage grids, and changing room floors.
- Jet wash mats and reset changing room areas.
- Clean all poolside windows and maintain poolside plants.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, company policies, and pool safety procedures.
- Complete required risk assessments, safety checks, and operational checklists.
- Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, guest concerns, or complaints, escalating where necessary.
- Maintain effective communication with colleagues, management, and other hotel departments.
- Contribute positively to team meetings and staff development sessions, offering ideas for improvement.
Cash Handling & Administration
- Follow all cash-handling, blind banking, and security procedures.
- Process payments accurately in line with company accounting policies.
- Transport and secure banking in accordance with safety guidelines.
Working Pattern
- Work on a flexible shift rota across Monday to Sunday, including public holidays.
- Be adaptable to cover staffing shortfalls and changing business needs.
- Undertake additional duties as required by management to support operational continuity.
