Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chef de Partie in preparing ingredients, cooking components of dishes, and assembling plates according to recipes and specifications.
- Manage a designated section of the kitchen, such as sauces, vegetables, or desserts, under the guidance of the Chef de Partie.
- Ensure food quality and presentation by adhering to portioning and plating standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in your work area, including workstations and equipment.
- Support team collaboration by coordinating tasks and communicating effectively with other kitchen staff.
- Handle food ingredients properly, following hygiene and safety procedures to ensure freshness and quality.
- Assist in training junior staff and commis chefs, providing guidance and support.
- Monitor inventory and stock levels for your section, reporting shortages and assisting with orders.
- Participate in quality control measures, including taste testing and visual inspection of dishes.
Safety And Company Policies:
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
- Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
