Remuneration

Location: Birmingham (hybrid working, minimum 2/3 days per week in office) Private Medical Insurance, 5% Pension, Death in Service, EMI Share Options, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, Free Parking, On Site Cafe, Electric Vehicle Charge Points, Home Office provision, Company laptop and modern delivery toolset. Flexible working hours with core hours 10:00–15:00 and flexibility between 07:00–19:00.

Take your career to the next level in Quantum technology, with the opportunity to facilitate delivery across a complex portfolio of technical programmes as a Senior Project Manager in Birmingham at one of the UK’s most exciting and innovative technology companies. You will operate at the heart of the business, driving delivery across high-impact internal engineering initiatives and externally funded programmes. You will play a critical role in maintaining delivery momentum, managing dependencies and ensuring the business consistently meets technical, commercial and investor-driven milestones. This Senior Project Manager role in Birmingham offers exposure to challenging, meaningful delivery work across software, hardware, science, product and deployment teams, with clear scope to grow your influence and responsibility as the organisation scales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Owning delivery across multiple concurrent internal and external technical projects
  • Planning, tracking and coordinating complex workstreams spanning software, hardware, embedded systems, science and deployment
  • Maintaining delivery cadence across planning, execution and reporting cycles
  • Identifying risks, blockers and dependencies early and ensuring they are clearly managed
  • Providing clear, concise delivery updates to senior and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Ensuring delivery evidence, progress tracking and reporting are robust and reliable

Person

If you have experience delivering complex technical programmes and enjoy bringing structure and momentum to fast-moving environments, you may be the Senior Project Manager in Birmingham we are looking for. You are likely to thrive if you bring:

  • Experience delivering projects or programmes in agile or hybrid environments
  • A broad understanding of software delivery and comfort working with technical teams
  • Strong planning, coordination and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working across multiple concurrent workstreams
  • Confidence operating in environments where priorities evolve and delivery discipline matters

You do not need prior experience in quantum technology. Transferable delivery experience from software-led, engineering, scientific, consultancy or scale-up environments is highly valued.
