Our client, a global top-10 Sovereign Wealth Fund, is looking to hire a Manager to their Global Retail & Consumer Investments team in Doha.
The successful candidate will develop and manage the investment portfolio by being responsible for specific companies and investments. They will also originate and evaluate new investment opportunities, and assist in the execution of the investment, for both private and negotiated public transactions. Post-acquisition, the successful candidate will ensure appropriate reporting, performance monitoring and risk assessment and provide investment analysis and recommendations. Furthermore, the individual will build organizational know-how in relevant industry sub-sectors by contributing expertise and external network.
Key responsibilities would include:
- Financial modelling
- Valuations
- Preparation of internal materials in support of the internal investment process
- Portfolio management
- Preparation of quarterly reviews of existing portfolio assets and portfolio performance reviews
Requirements:
The successful candidate should arrive from a top tier financial institution and will be currently working in Investment banking / M&A or within Private Equity. Ideal candidates will have strong experience within Retail & Consumer sectors, a focus on Consumer Technology would also be considered a plus. Previous US/European deal exposure would be considered a plus. The successful candidate must have strong modelling skills; an advanced degree or CFA would also be considered a plus.
