Opportunity to join one of the most prominent investors and operators in global sport. Our client has built a highly regarded platform with investments across elite sports franchises, international competitions and adjacent sports-related assets. The group has established a strong track record of executing transformative investments and scaling premium global sports properties.
They are seeking a Vice President to join their M&A / Corporate Development team in the Middle East. The successful candidate will join a lean, high-performing team focused on evaluating and executing strategic investments across sport, media, entertainment and adjacent sectors globally.
Responsibilities- Support the development of their sports investment strategy, including market trends, priority sectors, synergy opportunities and new investment themes.
- Manage the acquisition pipeline by screening and evaluating potential investment opportunities that complement and diversify the existing portfolio of assets.
- Execute M&A transactions end-to-end, including valuation, due diligence, transaction documentation, advisor coordination, internal stakeholder management and process timetable oversight.
- Coordinate detailed market research, competitor benchmarking and strategic analysis, working closely with junior team members and external advisors.
- Mentor and review selected work produced by junior team members, while remaining hands-on across modelling, analysis and execution.
- 6–12 years’ experience in investment banking, private equity, in-house M&A / corporate development, strategy or principal investment.
- Strong M&A execution experience, ideally with exposure to sports, media, entertainment or adjacent sectors.
- Excellent financial modelling, valuation and investment memo writing skills.
- Demonstrable interest in sport, either professionally or personally.
- Ability to operate in a lean, high-performing team with senior stakeholder exposure.
