This role will lead equity capital markets syndicate activity within the wider Capital Markets team, advising internal investment teams on equity issuance timing, structuring, pricing and distribution strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead equity syndicate activity within the institution’s Capital Markets team, advising on equity issuance strategy, timing and execution.
- Provide independent syndicate views on global IPOs, follow-ons, block trades and convertible transactions.
- Act as senior advisor to internal investment teams on equity syndication, liquidity events and monetisation outcomes.
- Own end-to-end equity syndicate execution, including bank selection, book building, investor allocation and aftermarket oversight.
- Maintain senior relationships with global ECM desks, coverage bankers and equity sales teams.
- Ensure equity syndicate execution activity complies with internal governance, mandates and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute syndicate-led market intelligence on equity demand, market windows, investor behaviour and aftermarket dynamics.
Requirements:
- 15+ years’ experience within an ECM Syndicate role at a Tier 1 global investment bank.
- Deep expertise across IPOs, follow-ons, blocks and equity-linked transactions.
- Strong judgement on deal timing, pricing, investor demand and market windows.
- Proven experience advising senior stakeholders on complex equity capital decisions.
- Credibility with global banks, investors and internal investment teams.
- Experience operating within large, institutional or strategic capital environments.
- Europe or US-based, with global ECM market exposure.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; advanced qualifications advantageous.
