Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the development and implementation of strategies for international passive fixed income investments, optimizing sectoral, geographic, and maturity exposure while managing risks such as duration and interest rate volatility.
- Lead the continuous monitoring of international passive fixed income portfolio performance, ensuring alignment with benchmarks, recommending rebalancing strategies to maintain target allocations, and making necessary adjustments to optimize returns, mitigate risks, and adapt to evolving market conditions.
- Lead the due diligence process on passive fixed income investment options, including bond ETFs and closed-end funds (CEFs), to ensure alignment with portfolio goals and strategies.
- Evaluate and oversee the analysis of key metrics for passive investment instruments, ensuring the selection of optimal vehicles that align with the institution’s strategic objectives and risk appetite.
- Serve as the primary contact for advisors and other external stakeholders, such as index providers and analytics firms, to stay updated on market developments and benchmark methodologies.
- Engage with internal teams to refine passive strategies and enhance portfolio outcomes through data-driven decisions and market insights.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and governance standards in all fixed income investment activities.
- Coordinate with internal departments such as Risk, Legal, and Compliance to address regulatory challenges related to international passive fixed income investments.
- Develop performance measurement frameworks for international passive fixed income investments, ensuring alignment with benchmark returns and institutional objectives.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate international market insights into strategic planning and ensure alignment with broader organizational goals.
- Provide strategic oversight and mentorship to the Public Fixed Income Senior Associate, ensuring the effective execution of international passive investment objectives.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master’s degree in Finance, MBA or CFA designation is preferred.
Professional Experience
- Minimum 13 years of experience in passive fixed income portfolio management.
- Strong expertise in managing passive fixed income instruments such as bond ETFs, index funds, and CEFs.
- Proven experience in portfolio monitoring, benchmarking, and rebalancing strategies for passive investments.
