A leading investment institution in the GCC is seeking a senior risk executive to lead and evolve its risk and business continuity strategy across enterprise and investment platforms. This newly created position is part of a broader transformation aimed at aligning operational, investment, and regulatory risk with global standards
Reporting directly to the CEO, the successful candidate will serve as the strategic point person for defining institutional risk appetite, embedding business continuity protocols, and ensuring oversight across asset classes and internal operations
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of risk governance and reporting frameworks
- Oversee investment and operational risk practices across diverse portfolios
- Develop and test business continuity and technology resilience strategies
- Interface with executive leadership, regulators, and risk committees
- Foster a proactive and risk-aware institutional culture
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 15 + years of experience in enterprise or investment risk within an institutional asset manager or global investment firm
- Strong understanding of risk frameworks tied to liability-driven investing (LDI) β candidates from pension funds or insurance companies are particularly favourable
- Prior demonstratable track record establishing a risk management function from the ground up
- Proven leadership in regulated investment environments
- Expertise in stress testing, risk appetite frameworks, and regulatory liaison
