Job Description

In this role, you will serve as a primary application-engineering resource for solar inverter solutions across the EMEA region. You will combine engineering, customer contact and hands-on problem-solving and influence future products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support customers across EMEA: Provide application engineering support before and after the sale, primarily from the UK, with travel when customer or project needs require it.
  • Design the right solution: Translate site requirements, electrical designs and customer objectives into robust system recommendations.
  • Solve technical issues: Lead structured troubleshooting with customers, installers, EPCs, distributors and internal experts; document findings and drive issues to closure.
  • Enable successful commissioning: Support installation, configuration, testing and commissioning remotely and on site where appropriate.
  • Build capability: Deliver technical training, product demonstrations and practical guidance for customers, partners and internal commercial teams.
  • Connect field insight to the business: Capture recurring questions, product feedback and market requirements, then communicate them clearly to product management, R&D, quality and service teams.
  • Protect quality and safety: Work in line with applicable procedures, technical standards and safety requirements, and maintain accurate case and project documentation.

Qualifications

  • Proactive and analytical: You can move a case forward, while taking time to understand evidence before deciding.
  • Goal- and problem-focused: You work toward successful project outcomes and notice risks, gaps and failure modes early.
  • Understanding of PV systems: Ability to read single-line diagrams, specifications and technical documentation. Support commissioning and troubleshooting.
  • Methodical and adaptable: You follow proven safety and troubleshooting methods and develop alternatives when the standard route does not fit the application.
  • System- and detail-oriented: You understand the complete system and can stay with measurements, logs and diagrams until the root cause is clear.
  • Independent and collaborative: You can owe your cases and work autonomously, while involving the right colleagues and partners.
  • Flexible under pressure: You remain approachable and customer-aware, then step back to assess the facts and choose the next action.
