Oversee planning, execution, and safety of product and system installations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Reports to the Technical Services Manager and has no direct reports.
Responsibilities- Transfer ownership of installation projects from account manager for service delivery.
- Manage and deliver projects on time, within budget, to quality standards, and customer satisfaction.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project plans using tools such as Microsoft Project.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, facilitate regular status meetings, and provide clear performance reports with issue resolution.
- Manage installation teams/subcontractors and resolve technical issues.
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations, conduct risk assessments, and deliver toolbox talks.
- Interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications to guide installation.
- Conduct site surveys with customers and partners.
- Create installation quotations.
- Realise and coordinate method statements and complete risk assessments.
- Protect company margin through cost‑effective resource management.
- Implement and comply with health and safety policies and associated guidance.
- Manage day‑to‑day client communication and set expectations.
- Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones.
- Communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders.
- Facilitate team and client meetings.
- H-Tech Level Qualification or equivalent in Electrical Installation or Project Management.
- Experience in a similar position, ideally within a power manufacturer, electrical, or construction role, with proven experience delivering complex, multitrack projects and supervisory experience.
- Sound knowledge of the power supply industry and electrical/electronic products.
- In‑depth knowledge of Delta’s product range, technologies, applications and installation.
- Ability to negotiate with customers, external contractors and suppliers.
- Proven commercial and contractual understanding.
- Eye for detail and ability to work to tight timescales.
- Understanding of current health and safety legislation.
- Understanding of national rules and regulations.
- Qualification and/or sound knowledge of BS7671 18th Edition is an advantage.
- Proven leadership skills; able to lead a diverse team and achieve targets.
- Ability to resolve on‑site issues and manage risks effectively.
- Experience working independently and in a team‑oriented, collaborative environment.
- Can adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
