We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to drive the commercial success and market positioning of our HVAC systems portfolio. This external facing role will focus on the HVAC Systems line of business, you will be responsible for identifying market opportunities, gathering customer and channel insights, and defining product roadmaps that align technical capabilities with customer value and business objectives. Working closely with engineering, sales, and operations, you will guide products from concept through launch and lifecycle management across integrated hardware and software offerings.
Duties and responsibilities
- Own the product lifecycle from concept to launch and through maintenance to end-of-life.
- Participate in the conceptual design stage and perform feasibility analysis.
- Maintain a customer-focused roadmap aligned with business goals.
- Define product requirements and communicate them to product development.
- Prioritize features, bugs, and technical improvements.
- Conduct customer interviews and develop use cases to validate under actual field conditions.
- Conduct beta programs and coordinate product releases.
- Work with other business units to ensure platform compatibility and alignment.
- Support pricing strategy and represent the product in customer meetings and events.
- Work with Customer Support and Training to create content and support customers.
- Develop marketing and communications collateral to achieve post launch support efforts.
Required skills and abilities
- Strong analytical and communication abilities.
- Clear understanding of the product-to-market process.
- Experience guiding products through full lifecycle.
Preferred skills and abilities
- Working knowledge of building controls and control theory.
- Background in electronic design and manufacturing.
- Product management experience and/or formal training.
- Knowledge of Tridium systems is an asset.
- Knowledge of Lighting Control systems is an asset.
Qualifications and experience
- Preferred building controls industry experience in commercial buildings: 2 years.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred; relevant industry experience accepted.
Work Location: In-office environment that is currently 3 days per week
City: Surrey
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Compensation: $90,000 - $110,000
This range reflects the minimum and maximum target payable for the base salary of new hires across all Canadian locations. Actual compensation may vary outside this range and is dependent on various factors.
