We are looking for a Fraud SME to join our Client Lifecycle Management (CLM) team to support our client in leading and delivering a fraud programme across Ireland, the UK and wider Europe. This role will involve developing fraud‑prevention rules, designing and delivering training, and benchmarking processes against industry best practice. It requires a core focus on delivering high quality work within project deadlines and a proven ability to apply a consistent approach to Fraud processes while adhering to regulatory requirements and client procedures.
Location: London / Dublin
Contract: 6 to 12 months FTC (fixed‑term contract full‑time)
Key Responsibilities
- Independent Review & Challenge: Assess the robustness of fraud prevention measures and provide constructive challenge to risk mitigation strategies adopted by business units.
- Fraud Risk Evaluation: Perform organization‑wide assessments to identify, analyse, and monitor fraud‑related risks, ensuring they remain within the defined risk appetite.
- Ongoing Monitoring & Insights: Track fraud risk indicators and emerging trends using advanced analytics, producing actionable insights for senior leadership, the board, and regulatory bodies.
- Compliance Assurance: Maintain adherence to all applicable laws, regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal fraud risk management policies.
- Program & Framework Design: Establish and maintain a comprehensive fraud oversight framework, including governance standards, policies, and reporting tools.
- Cross‑Functional Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders (business, compliance, legal) and external partners to align fraud risk practices with recognized best‑in‑class standards.
- Education & Awareness: Develop and deliver targeted training programs to strengthen fraud awareness and risk management capabilities across the organization.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Risk Management Knowledge: Extensive experience in managing operational risk, financial crime exposure, and fraud prevention strategies.
- Data Analysis Capability: Skilled in interpreting large datasets, spotting patterns, and leveraging advanced analytics to detect fraudulent activity.
- Effective Communication: Ability to convey complex concepts clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences, including senior executives.
- Industry Insight: Strong familiarity with fraud risks and regulatory requirements within banking, payments, or related sectors.
- Professional Credentials: Certifications such as CFE or CAMS are highly advantageous.
- Leadership & Teamwork: Demonstrated success in operating autonomously while collaborating effectively in a matrixed organizational structure.
Hybrid Working
As a Service Provider and Consulting firm, our policy for physically working from the office aligns with our clients' policies and expectations. Most clients now require a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, 2 days from home; some clients may require 4‑5 days. Candidates need to be flexible to meet our client demands.
