Salary Grade C Points 4 to 6 (£24,404 to £25,183 Full Time Equivalent) subject to pro rata. The minimum actual pro rata salary per annum for this job starts at £17,094.59.

Garforth Academy are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant Level 1 to join our academy in October 2025 on a part time, temporary basis.

Your new role: As a Teaching Assistant Level 1, you will work under the direct instruction of teaching/senior staff, usually in a classroom with the teacher. You will support pupils to ensure they can access learning and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.

Your new school: With nearly 2000 students aged between 11 and 18, Garforth Academy is a busy and vibrant place. The academy serves a predominantly urban catchment area, which includes Garforth, Kippax, Aberford, Micklefield, Swillington and Colton among others.
