At Delt, we’re proud to support organisations that make a real difference to local communities. We are now recruiting for an experienced Senior Project Manager to support a major transformation programme on behalf of Plymouth City Council. This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious, high-profile programme at the very start of its journey, helping shape and coordinate the development of Integrated Neighbourhood Teams across Plymouth. Integrated Neighbourhood Teams are designed to bring together health, care, community and voluntary sector organisations to deliver more joined-up, preventative and person-centred support for local communities. This programme will involve collaboration across multiple agencies and services, with a strong focus on partnership working, community engagement and long-term system transformation.
The Role
Working closely with senior stakeholders across public health, NHS organisations, voluntary and community sector partners, and wider system leaders, you will lead the coordination and delivery of a complex programme of work spanning multiple workstreams. You’ll be responsible for ensuring projects are effectively planned, governed and delivered, while maintaining strong relationships across a broad range of stakeholders. This role will require someone who can operate confidently at both strategic and operational levels - equally comfortable engaging with senior leadership teams as they are facilitating collaboration with frontline services and community partners. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping establish the foundations for Integrated Neighbourhood Teams across Plymouth and supporting the delivery of meaningful, long-term change.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading and coordinating a large-scale transformation programme across multiple partner organisations
- Managing programme plans, risks, dependencies, governance and reporting
- Supporting the development of business cases, project documentation and delivery frameworks
- Working collaboratively with NHS, local authority, voluntary sector and community stakeholders
- Facilitating effective partnership working and stakeholder engagement at all levels
- Supporting multiple workstreams covering areas such as prevention, healthcare delivery, finance and operational change
- Providing leadership, coaching and support to project teams and colleagues
- Ensuring projects are delivered to agreed timescales, quality standards and outcomes
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for an experienced project or programme management professional who thrives in complex stakeholder environments and is passionate about delivering meaningful change. You’ll ideally bring:
- Significant experience delivering large-scale transformation or change programmes
- Strong stakeholder management and partnership working experience
- Experience managing complex risks, budgets, governance and delivery plans
- Excellent communication and engagement skills
- A collaborative and solutions-focused approach
- Experience working across public sector, healthcare, local government or integrated systems environments
- Prince2 Practitioner (or equivalent project management qualification)
- The ability to work at pace whilst managing competing priorities
- Experience or understanding of integrated care, neighbourhood models, public health or NHS systems will be highly advantageous.
Why Join Delt?
At Delt, we believe in creating an environment where people can do meaningful work, collaborate openly and make a real impact. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a major transformation programme that could shape how services are delivered across Plymouth for years to come. The successful applicant will be employed by Delt and directed on a day-to-day basis by Plymouth City Council.
