This position sits at the heart of our cyber capability, working closely with our Cyber Service Owner and wider IT teams to deliver a robust, proactive security. It’s about ownership, influence, and being the calm, credible expert when things get serious. You’ll work across teams, support strategic decisions, and play a key role in protecting critical services for our customers.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Reviewing and validating vulnerabilities, ensuring risks are properly understood and managed
  • Producing clear, insightful reporting for customers and senior stakeholders
  • Working with our SOC provider to ensure alerts and threats are effectively handled
  • Developing and improving cyber response plans and runbooks
  • Supporting governance activities across Delt and our customer base

  • Mentoring and supporting junior team members

You’ll also be part of an on‑call rota, working alongside other specialists to respond to critical alerts when needed.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience in cyber security within a complex or multi‑tenant environment
  • Strong incident response and security operations experience
  • Confidence working with tools such as Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Qualys or Tenable
  • A solid understanding of vulnerability management and risk frameworks
  • The ability to translate technical risks into clear, business‑focused language
  • Experience supporting or mentoring others within a team
  • A calm, analytical approach; especially under pressure
  • Degree in Cyber Security, Computing or similar would be of benefit, as would Industry certifications (e.g. CISSP, Microsoft Security Operations Analyst)
  • ITIL Foundation is not essential but would be highly desirable
