The predicted salary is between 60 - 60 £ per hour.
Hourly rate from £50 - £60 per hour umbrella. Full time - 9.30am - 5.30pm with 1 hour breaks. The contract will initially be for 3 months as standard but is likely to be renewed beyond that for at least another 3 months. Based in Tooley Street. 36 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing legal advice to and representation for Children Social Care in all safeguarding, adoption and non-care matters.
- Will have a caseload of care cases, non-care matters and PLO pre-proceedings cases.
- Will attend and provide legal advice at LPM Panel.
- Will cover duty sessions per month.
- Must ensure that case files are Lexcel compliant.
- Must assist and support the Head of Team in delivering corporate and Team priorities and objectives.
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor/CILEX or Barrister with rights to conduct litigation and up-to-date practising certificates.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years children law experience working in a local authority.
- Must have experience in holding care cases, DOLs, Secure, SGO, Adoption and Discharge applications, Disclosure and redactions.
- Able to conduct own advocacy on cases would be desirable.
