Job Title: Support Worker (Learning Disabilities & Autism – Adults)

Location: Nottingham (NG8)

Salary: £12.25 – £13.26 per hour (Depending on Qualification & Experience)

Job Type: Permanent – Full Time

Work Schedule: Office-Based

Hours of Work: Days, Nights & Weekends; 42 hours per week (rolling rota), 8am-8pm or 8pm-8am

Start Date: Immediate, subject to satisfactory enhanced DBS check

Delphi Care Solutions Ltd is seeking Support Workers for a residential adult care service in Nottingham, NG8, supporting adults with challenging behaviour, learning disabilities, and autism. The role involves delivering person-centred care tailored to each individual, supporting and enabling service users to maintain skills and interests.

As a support worker, your responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring service users are central to care delivery, respecting their wishes and preferences to enhance wellbeing.
  • Supporting the efficient operation of the service.
  • Helping service users maintain relationships with the community.
  • Following Care Plans and other support information accurately.
  • Reporting any changes in service users\’ needs to the Team Leader/Nurse.
  • Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of individuals supported.
  • Adhering to infection control policies and maintaining up-to-date training.
  • Building effective relationships with colleagues.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to maximize service user opportunities.
  • Seeking personal and professional development opportunities.
  • Understanding and working within the Fundamental Standards and regulatory framework, including CQC requirements.
  • Working towards relevant qualifications in social care.
  • Attending statutory and additional training as required.
  • Following all relevant policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 1-2 years\’ experience in the UK healthcare sector supporting adults with challenging behaviour, learning disabilities, and autism.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • NVQ or RFQ qualification in Social Care (preferable).
