Our client is a startup domiciliary care service based in Leeds, West Yorkshire, seeking a passionate and experienced registered care manager to lead the service to an OUTSTANDING level of CQC registration and growth.
Job Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire (office‐based with regular community visits across Leeds and surrounding areas)
Contracted Hours: Full‐time – 40 hours per week
Work Structure: Monday to Friday, with flexibility to meet service needs (occasional evenings/weekends as required)
Salary: £38,000 – £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Bonus: Performance‐related bonus available following successful CQC registration and service growth
Job Purpose: The Registered Care Manager will be responsible for the day‐to‐day operational management of the domiciliary care service, ensuring full compliance with CQC regulations, delivering high‐quality person‐centred care, and supporting the growth and development of the service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Register and maintain the service as the Registered Manager with the CQC
- Lead, manage, recruit, and develop care and office staff
- Ensure delivery of safe, high‐quality, person‐centred care in line with CQC standards
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and quality assurance systems
- Manage care assessments, care planning, reviews, and risk assessments
- Oversee rota planning, staffing levels, and continuity of care
- Maintain accurate records and reports
- Manage safeguarding, incidents, and complaints effectively
- Build strong relationships with service users, families, commissioners, and external professionals
- Support business growth, referrals, and service development
Requirements – Essential:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within domiciliary care
- In‐depth knowledge of CQC regulations and care standards
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Experience in staff recruitment, supervision, and performance management
- Ability to work flexibly and manage a growing service
Requirements – Desirable:
- Experience registering a new domiciliary care service with the CQC
- Business development or startup experience
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
