Delphi Care Solutions is proud to be partnering with a growing children's care provider to recruit a Founding Registered Children's Home Manager for a brand-new specialist residential service in Bicester. This is a rare opportunity to take the lead from day one. You'll play a pivotal role in opening, registering and shaping a specialist home supporting children and young people with autism, learning disabilities and complex needs. The Role
As the Registered Manager, you will take ownership of the home's journey from registration through to successful operation. You will work closely with the Responsible Individual and sector experts to ensure the home achieves the highest standards of care, safeguarding, compliance and outcomes for children and young people. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager seeking a fresh challenge or a strong Deputy Manager ready for their first registration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Ofsted registration process
- Develop and implement the Statement of Purpose
- Recruit, lead and develop a high-performing care team
- Ensure full compliance with Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
- Promote a positive and nurturing culture within the home
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding and risk management
- Build strong relationships with local authorities, families and professionals
- Oversee care planning, staffing, budgets and home performance
- Drive continuous improvement and quality assurance
About You
Essential
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare
- Experience within children's residential care
- Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding requirements
- Experience supporting children with autism, learning disabilities or complex needs
- Excellent leadership and team development skills
- Passionate about achieving positive outcomes for children and young people
Desirable
- Previous Registered Manager experience
- Experience opening or registering a new children's home
- Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
- Experience working within specialist SEN or learning disability services
