National Account Manager- De’Longhi Group (De’Longhi, Kenwood & Braun)
Kenwood Global Headquarters, Havant, Hampshire | ÂŁCompetitive + excellent benefits package
Mission-critical account management
The De’Longhi Group brands are familiar to shoppers globally, so it should come as no surprise that our day-to-day relationships with our retail channel partners are critical.
De’Longhi Group’s National Account Managers are a major factor behind our success in the high street and, increasingly, online. They manage our relationships with De’Longhi Group product stockists, including some of the most familiar names in high street, out-of-town and digital retail.
We’re seeking a National Account Manager to develop and grow channel partner accounts, deliver sales and marketing objectives and develop specific retail objectives that help to achieve category leadership across our product portfolio.
The role
Home-based, you’ll typically spend two days per week at our Havant HQ (under normal circumstances) and the rest of the time visiting and developing relationships with a broad mix of stakeholders at key channel partners.
To be successful in this role you’ll need to be outstanding at developing relationships, highly numerate and skilled at planning. You’ll be comfortable working with (and will need a deep understanding of) multiple product categories, strategies, performance data and metrics. Your ability to exceed targets will be a given. You’ll be proactive and confident enough to own a number of major accounts and work closely with contacts in buying, merchandising, returns, marketing and stock management, as well as a raft of internal De’Longhi Group teams.
You’ll have the freedom and flexibility to shape a portfolio of accounts and make a significant difference to a global group, with flexibility in how you manage your accounts and your time.
Key responsibilities
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Exceeding sales and contribution targets for a portfolio of national accounts
· Maintaining strong relationships with accounts
· Business planning and category management across three brands
· Customer forecast management
· Managing and monitoring net sales and profitability
· Monitoring retailer performance by volume, value & profitability
· Achieving distribution for new lines & advising on appropriate product listings
· Reviewing return on investment from advertising and marketing spend
About you
You’ll be confident, self-starting and commercially and numerically astute. Experience of managing at least one of the largest consumer electronics retailers in the UK, with market-leading brands is a must. Knowledge of retail and wholesale small appliance brands will be a distinct advantage.
You will need a deep understanding of both the instore and digital landscape and the key metrics used in justifying and deploying significant advertising budgets.
You’ll combine communication, negotiation and sales skills with an ability to interpret market data and turn it into actionable information. And when it comes to developing relationships, you’ll be best in class.
You’ll be resilient and a team player who can work with your fellow account managers, with an understanding of what works best for the overall group.
This is a highly mobile home-based role, with many of our clients situated across the country, so you’ll need a current driving licence. You’ll need to be at our Havant HQ for two days per week so you’ll need to be comfortable with the drive to and from our office ideally within two hours travel.
What’s in it for you?
As well as industry-leading benefits and a competitive package, this role offers the opportunity to make a difference with a global brand family, make decisions quickly and work in a flat hierarchy where you’ll see the impact of your work.
You’ll enjoy outstanding learning and development, working culture and environment.
Our benefits include:
• Competitive Salary + Bonus Structure
• Excellent contributory pension
• 25 days holiday + bank holidays
• Superb subsidised restaurant
• Flexible benefits package
• Access to a range of wellbeing activities and events
