We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Defect Management Lead to play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of a large and complex programme within the Investment Management/Asset Servicing domain.

Deliverables:

  • Creating and refining a robust E2E defect management approach, leveraging lessons learnt from historical projects and clearly defining priority and severity for defects.
  • Proactively identifying areas for improvement in existing defect management processes and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborating across multiple development and test workstreams to efficiently assign fix teams, obtain fix ETAs and maintain a single source of truth in the chosen test.
  • Facilitating defect triage meetings with stakeholders to assess impact, urgency, and assign ownership for resolution.
  • Tracking defect resolution progress, identifying bottlenecks, and escalating issues as needed to ensure timely resolution.
  • Ensure the Test Management tool is the source of truth for defects, capturing updates in a timely fashion and maintaining traceability of defects to test cases and other relevant artifacts.
  • Produce daily and weekly defect reporting, demonstrating resolution progress and next actions and capturing key trend metrics/analysis, with clear exec summaries.
  • Support with production SteerCo reports and other programme-level reports requiring defect metrics.
  • Facilitate defect management training to support stakeholders in the defect management process and ensure defects are raised to the appropriate standard.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of asset servicing operations, including, but not limited to, trade processing, settlements, corporate actions.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven Defect Management experience on large/complex programmes.
  • Investment Management/Asset Servicing experience (knowledge and understanding of Asset Classes, Investment processes, Portfolio Management etc), either through industry or programme delivery.
  • Test management tool expertise (JIRA/HP ALM).
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication.

Additional Good to Have Experience:

  • A proven track record in a top tier consultancy.
  • Exposure to Investment Management/Asset Management platforms such as, CRD, BlackRock Aladdin, SimCorp, Thinkfolio etc.
