Role
We are looking for .Net/C# software engineers in Belfast for a Capital Markets organization, tasked with building and supporting platforms across front to back trade lifecycle. You will collaborate with front office, operations, Product Owner team and development teams to provide solutions that improve efficiency and enable business expansion.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of Agile development lifecycle, gathering requirements, designing, implementing and testing
- Strong development experience in C#, Microsoft .NET, class libraries and WPF MVVM building GUI applications within the last 5 years
- Tech stack: .NET Developer, ASP.NET, C#, React, Angular, TypeScript, Web API 2
- Strong knowledge of trade lifecycle management required including running EOD batches, risk, P&L, Mark-To-Market and valuation calculation
- Understanding multi-threaded programming and experience building high performance UI applications
- Test driven development (TDD)
- Strong understanding of object oriented analysis and design, design patterns, high availability and concurrent programming
- Experience in working on any OS (Unix, Linux, Win)
- SQL Programming: Write complex queries, stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and scripts.
- Knowledge of PowerShell is a plus.
- Relevant experience in financial products, preferrable Equity or a closely related area.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Financial industry experience with knowledge of Equity Derivatives/Cash Equities products and product lifecycle, trading and risk
- Worked on source code management tools such as SVN, GIT, Bit Bucket Experience with SDLC methodologies
- Experience on build Tools Maven, Ant and other SDLC tools such as Sonar and Jenkins
- Experience of Oracle and/or Sybase database development
Deliverables – responsibilities but not limited to;
- Write Code: translate software requirements and designs into functional code using programming languages like Java, Python, C#, etc.
- Test and Debug: Ensure the quality of the code by writing unit tests, debugging issues and collaborating with QA teams to resolve bugs.
- Follow Development Methodologies: work within Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies, adhering to sprints, deadlines, and project management practices.
