The Executive Compensation team works with our clients to provide advice on a variety of Reward matters including Remuneration Committee strategy and Board & Executive pay. You will work closely with the firm\’s most senior staff to design and implement compensation strategies.
The relationships this role will be responsible for engaging with and delivering to are some of our most important. This is a key team in the management of some of the firm\’s key clients. You will have the opportunity to work with various teams across the firm including Deloitte Total Reward & Benefits, Specialist Reward, Share Schemes and Mobility.
You will be working in our national Executive Compensation Consulting group and will be providing advice to clients in the following areas:

  • Designing executive pay strategies – linking pay to corporate performance
  • Advising on performance measures for incentive plans and modelling performance outcomes
  • Advising on the implementation of cash and equity-based incentive plans, including tax, accounting, and funding considerations
  • Drafting Directors\’ Remuneration Reports
  • Investor relations consulting, including liaison with institutional investors
  • Preparation and/or review of remuneration committee papers
  • Executive and non-executive director pay benchmarking

You will also be providing support on proposals and business development activity.

  • Proven experience in the area of executive compensation, including experience of playing a leading role in serving FTSE Main Market and AIM companies
  • Deep technical skills on executive remuneration issues, including an understanding of the relevant legislation in this field (e.g., UK directors remuneration reporting regulations).
  • Experience in winning, developing and maintaining client relationships, ideally within a consulting environment
  • A professional and pro-active approach, to deliver client service that meets Deloitte\’s exceptional standards
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload with a flexible approach, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Clear communication skills and ability to produce high quality, client facing, technically accurate, well written work
  • Experience in effectively delegating work
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – an ability to deal effectively and establish rapport with people at all levels (clients, partners and staff)
