The Role
We are seeking an experienced APEX Developer to work with one of our public sector clients at Deloitte. This role will focus on designing, developing, testing and supporting APEX solutions. You will be part of a team, supporting with the implementation of change and ongoing work for the client. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Oracle Apex development and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will play a key role in ensuring the efficiency of existing solutions while contributing to the development of new and innovative features. Additionally, you will be involved in reviewing the wider solutions that integrate with our Apex solutions, identifying potential areas for improvement and ensuring seamless integration.
You will demonstrate and develop your capabilities in the following areas:
- Essential Skills & Experience:
- Must be eligible and willing to obtain UK Government Security Clearance
- Proven experience in developing and deploying APEX solutions within an Oracle environment
- Strong understanding of SQL and PL/SQL, including stored procedures, functions, and packages
- Experience with APEX development tools and frameworks for design, build and testing
- Proficient in debugging and troubleshooting APEX code and database issues
- Knowledge of APEX best practices, including security considerations and performance tuning
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Deliverables: Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Design, development and testing of APEX solutions
- Support of existing solutions
- Perform review of wider solution estate that integrates with APEX solutions
IR35: As a means of managing tax, commercial and reputational risks, Deloitte prohibits the use of Associates through Personal Service Companies (‘PSCs’). All Associates must contract under PAYE arrangements through a Deloitte approved ‘Employment Company’ (aka ‘umbrella company’).
