What skills and academic qualifications do I need?
This programme is for university students who are doing well academically and want to test their skills in the real world. Y ou’ll be on track to achieve a predicted degree classification of 2:1 or above in any discipline. You must also be in the penultimate year of your course.

What kind of work will I do?
You will be joining one of our client-facing teams making a lasting impact to clients across all industries:
- Strategy & Architecture (S&A) – Helping our clients to imagine, define & deliver their modernisation journey through deep specialisation in Cloud & Technology Strategy, FinOps, Architecture, Business Applications, Cloud Migration & Digital Workplace. We enable our client's by showing them “why”, “what’ and "how " to bring Cloud & Technology into their organization - driving business innovation, agility and cost savings for the digital era.
- Technology Programme Delivery (TPD) – We are the resilient delivery drumbeat, conducting an integrated approach to tech transformation across all industries. We operate at the heart of complex transformation programmes, applying best practice and experience to match our clients’ needs and ever-changing demands of the global market.
New joiners are placed into the teams listed here based on demand. Industrial Placement experience may vary slightly across these teams but focusses on providing our new team members with the best possible start to their career, learning Deloitte ways of working and supporting a successful career in Technology & Transformation.
Where will I work?
At Deloitte we recognise how important face-to-face interaction is for your development in a new role. We also understand that our people need flexibility, which is why we operate a hybrid system, with a combination of office and home working. If you’re in a client-facing role, you might be expected to attend client sites on certain days, while your meetings will be a mix of online and in-person events. Please note your final assessment and induction will also be in-person, to give you the opportunity to network and build relationships.

Working within high-performing teams, across the year you’ll get the opportunity to develop alongside our exceptional colleagues, with on-the-job experience. Alongside this, you’ll have a multitude of avenues for personal and professional development, including:
- EAID & Engineering Analyst training – Sessions are delivered by our early talent training team across a range of foundational topics.
- You will attend our induction alongside other business lines to learn about the firm, our culture and how we work, before diving into Technology & Transformation specific induction activities.
- After your induction you will work on projects with colleagues at all levels of seniority helping to solve real client problems.
- You will be provided with a support network including a buddy, people leader, project mentor
- Learning Pathways – Opportunity to drive your own career, with training courses run by Deloitte subject matter experts available on a variety of topics throughout the year. A broad range of expertise across engineering from technical ability to delivery know-how means our new joiners learn consulting skills from across the spectrum.
- Certifications – Depending on business demand and your personal goals, you will have the option to undertake technical certifications (e.g. Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP) etc.). Through direct interactions with the biggest cloud providers and other key technology partnerships, our people are experts in delivering complex solutions leveraging multiple technologies.
