Our Financial Risk teams help organisations manage risk, meet regulatory requirements and prepare for what’s next in a complex , fast -changing world. Financial Risk comprises four teams. Please note that our Traded and Quantitative Risk Graduate Programme is advertised separately , as it’ s designed for candidates with a STEM or quantitative background. If that matches your experience and interests, please apply for that role instead.

Here’s an overview of the three teams you could join within Financial Risk and the work each one does :

Credit, Capital and Structuring

We help banks and building societies stay on the right side of the rules. Regulations change often, so we guide our clients through those changes and check they're doing everything correctly. We also work alongside their in-house review teams to spot any gaps. Sometimes a bank needs a licence to do certain things or need help with a big deal. We keep banks safe, legal and ready for what's next.

Front Office, Treasury and Reporting

Banks and other financial institutions rely on effective pricing, reporting and front-office operations. We help these areas perform more efficiently by strengthening risk management, improving day-to-day processes and supporting regulatory compliance. For example, we help our clients build better systems for pricing deals, managing the risk of loans and reporting on how much cash and capital they hold. We also help them keep tight control over their trading.

Credit Risk Measurement

When a bank lends money, there's always a chance it won't get paid back. That chance is called credit risk, and it's what this team focuses on. We help our clients understand and manage that risk. Credit is our main focus , but we know plenty about other risks too. That includes climate-related risk, which looks at how regulations around sustainability reporting can impact financial organisations.
