Traditional Daily Rate: Up to £350 per day, dependent on experience

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced custom software Developer to join our growing team.

In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of solutions.

The role will be focused on delivering technology to organisations predominantly within the Financial Services, Government and Public Sectors.

You will work closely with stakeholders across the business to understand their needs and translate them into effective and scalable solutions.

We are looking for a driven, collaborative and analytical Developer who specialises in building custom software solutions.

As a Developer, you will typically work with several teams at once to deliver technology for our clients.

For this role, we seek a candidate with a blend of strong technical expertise and strong communication skills.

You will collaborate closely with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, and Testers to design and deliver exceptional solutions that meet our clients' unique needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing, building, testing and maintaining custom software solutions that meet client and business requirements.
  • Integrating front-end applications with REST APIs and enterprise Saa S platforms, including Zoho where required.
  • Supporting back-end development and integration activity, including Node. js services where applicable.
  • Implementing authentication and authorisation patterns, including JWT and OAuth.
  • Working with Dynamo DB to perform create, read, update and delete operations as part of application development.
  • Developing program specifications, technical designs and detailed design documentation.
  • Liaising with Business Analysts, Solution Architects and Testers to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Supporting the Delivery Lead / Project Manager with scoping, estimation and delivery planning.
  • Coding, testing, debugging and resolving defects across complex application programmes.
  • Using Git for version control and contributing to code reviews, coding standards and development best practice.
  • Working independently with limited support, while aligned to weekly and daily agile governance, including sprint planning and reporting.

Experience & Skills Required

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a developer, with demonstrable experience building custom software solutions.
  • Experience integrating applications with REST APIs.
  • Node. js development experience; at least one developer within the team must be able to support Node. js build activity.
  • Experience using Git or similar version control tools for code management.
  • Experience implementing authentication and authorisation, including JWT and OAuth.
  • Experience working with Dynamo DB CRUD operations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working directly with end users and technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyse and understand business problems, then document solutions clearly in detailed design documentation.
  • Experience with testing methodologies, including unit testing, integration testing and user acceptance testing.
  • Experience with Agile development lifecycle methodologies.

Nice to have

  • AWS basics, including familiarity with core cloud concepts and services.
  • Experience working with enterprise Saa S integrations.
  • Zoho experience, including Zoho application configuration, integration or development
