Our Deloitte team brings extensive industry experience and system knowledge, operational leadership, and specialised expertise in workflow and MI. The Data Gatherer role is integral to the success of this programme, forming the engine that drives accurate and compliant data remediation.
As a Data Gatherer, you will be a key member of our remediation team, responsible for the meticulous collection, verification, and correction of critical data within the client's systems. Leveraging your existing familiarity with bank system platforms, you will perform detailed data checks, trace information, and proactively identify and rectify errors to ensure the highest levels of accuracy and compliance. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to maintaining data integrity in a highly regulated environment.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately gather and extract required data from various client systems and databases, adhering to defined protocols and project requirements.
- Perform comprehensive checks on collected data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency, identifying discrepancies and potential issues.
- Conduct in-depth tracing of data points across multiple sources to validate information and reconcile any inconsistencies, particularly in complex scenarios (e.g., compliant third-party data use).
- Proactively identify data errors, anomalies, and potential compliance risks, and implement corrective actions in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain clear, concise, and accurate records of all data gathering activities, findings, and corrections.
- Work closely with Quality Checkers and Team Leads to address complex data issues, receive feedback, and ensure alignment with quality standards.
- Ensure all data handling and processing activities comply with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and project-specific guidelines.
- Contribute to the ongoing refinement of data gathering processes and methodologies, sharing insights to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements (Essential):
- Previous experience in financial services remediation projects or similar data-intensive roles.
- Proven prior experience working with relevant client systems, enabling immediate productivity without extensive onboarding.
- Exceptional ability to focus on minute details and identify subtle discrepancies in data.
- Strong capability to analyse data, trace information, and understand complex data relationships.
- A meticulous approach to work, with a strong commitment to producing accurate and reliable results.
- Ability to proactively spot potential issues and take initiative to resolve them or escalate appropriately.
- Clear and effective communication, both written and verbal, for documenting findings and collaborating with team members.
