Overview
We are seeking a junior-level professional with experience or relevantexposure to support our Tier 1 Investment Banking client’s global documentationteam. This role is ideal for someone with a strong legal foundation, excellentattention to detail, and an interest in financial markets and documentationprocesses.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Support ongoing and newproject demands for the client’s global documentation team.
- Carry out administrativeand operational duties across a range of processes supporting the reviewand analysis of legal documentation.
- Extract key terms fromdocumentation and input information accurately into bank systems.
- Assist with thedrafting, review, execution, and filing of standard documentation undersupervision.
- Respond to routinequeries from internal stakeholders and support documentation-relatedworkflows.
- Contribute to processimprovements, controls, and team effectiveness where appropriate.
Skills and Background Needed
- Degree in Law or arelated legal qualification.
- Experience or exposurethrough internships, coursework, paralegal work, or early-career roles inlegal, documentation, credit, risk, treasury, or law firm environments.
- Strong soft skills withthe ability to work with a wide range of individuals and adapt to changingproject demands.
- Proactive,eager-to-learn mindset with good initiative.
- Strong time management,punctuality, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Officeand adaptability to different databases and systems.
- High attention to detailand the ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Commercial awareness andinterest in derivatives, commodities, repo, securities lending, or primebrokerage is a plus.
- Additional languageskills such as French, German, Italian, or Spanish are an advantage.
Preferred Exposure
- Exposure to legal ortrading documentation, including ISDA, CSA, repo, or margin-relateddocuments.
- Familiarity with legalentities such as funds, insurance companies, or pensions.
- Interestin regulatory documentation, collateral management, and documentation controls.
