ContractRole:AI IT Projects Business Analyst
Contract Location: London 4-5 days onsite each week
Contract Start: Starting ASAP (inside IR35)

Deloitte are seeking a highly experienced AIIT Projects Business Analyst to support the expansion of AI-enabled products within theProducts Trading organisation.
The successful candidate will be responsible forbridging business and technology teams, translating complex commodities tradingbusiness challenges into digital and AI-enabled solutions.
This role requires a seasoned Business Analyst withstrong knowledge of Commodities Trading, Products Trading, Supply &Distribution, Logistics, Risk Management, and Commercial optimisation.
Experience working on AI, data, analytics, or digitaltransformation initiatives is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis Leadership
- Lead discovery, analysis, process modelling andrequirements definition activities across multiple strategic initiatives.
- Translate business opportunities and operationalchallenges into actionable functional and technical requirements.
- Facilitate workshops with traders, schedulers,operators, commercial teams, product owners and technology teams.
- Define user stories, business processes, capabilitymaps, acceptance criteria and business outcomes.
- Drive solution alignment across business, product andengineering teams.
Essential Experience (Must Have)
- Extensive Business Analysis experience withinCommodities Trading or Energy Trading environments.
- Strong knowledge of Products Trading businessprocesses and value chains.
- Proven experience working directly with traders,operators, schedulers, planners and commercial stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management and workshopfacilitation skills.
- Experience working within Agile product deliveryenvironments.
- Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
AI & Digital Product Enablement (Must Have)
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI and GenerativeAI capabilities within trading and commercial workflows.
- Work closely with AI engineers, data scientists, anddevelopers to define and deliver AI-enabled solutions.
- Support product discovery, MVP definition, and scalingof successful AI products.
- Translate business use cases into requirementssuitable for AI and Large Language Model (LLM) based solutions.
- Evaluate business value and adoption opportunities forAI-enabled products.
Stakeholder Management (Must Have)
- Partner with senior stakeholders across Trading &Supply, Products, Commercial and Technology organisations.
- Build trusted relationships across global teams.
- Communicate effectively with both business andtechnical audiences.
- Influence decision-making and drive alignment acrossmultiple delivery teams.
AI & Data (Must Have)
- Understanding of Generative AI and Large LanguageModels (LLMs).
- Experience converting business requirements into AIuse cases.
- Familiarity with AI product lifecycles and adoptionchallenges.

- Provide subject matter expertise and analysis acrossareas such as:
- Refined Products Trading
- Crude Trading
- Deal Capture & Trade Lifecycle Management
- Commercial Operations
- Scheduling & Logistics

- Supply & Distribution
- Margin & P&L Analysis
- Trading Analytics & Decision Support
- Front, Middle and Back Office Processes
- Provide guidance and coaching to junior and mid-levelBusiness Analysts.
- Establish best practices for business analysis andrequirements management.
- Contribute to capability development within the BAcommunity.
- Act as a trusted advisor on complex business andtechnology initiatives.
