Job Description

  • Contract Role: Global Market Operations AVP / BA – Margin / Middle Office Settlements
  • Contract Location: Glasgow, Hybrid, 4 days per week on site, 1 day working from home
  • Contract Start Date: ASAP, until end of Jan 2027 initially
  • Contract Daily Rate: Competitive, Inside IR35

Support the controlled execution of margin and collateral processeswithin CMVS, ensuring outputs are accurate, timely, and aligned to definedprocedures and controls.

Contribute to process consistency and incrementalimprovements through disciplined execution and support to change initiatives.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Execute day-to-day CMVS (Collateral, Margin& Valuations Services) processes covering margin calculation, reconciliation, and collateral movements in line with defined procedures andcontrols.
  • Perform structured output validation within coremargin platform to ensure completeness and accuracy of margin calls.
  • Investigate breaks, exceptions, and variances, applying defined escalation paths where thresholds or tolerances are exceeded.
  • Support dispute management through timelyanalysis, coordination with counterparties, and clear documentation ofoutcomes
  • Maintain adherence to control requirements, including evidencing execution of key controls and supporting audit andassurance reviews.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives byidentifying inefficiencies, control gaps, or recurring issues and proposingpractical enhancements
  • Support delivery of change initiatives through UAT, data validation, and process documentation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely MI production, highlighting key risks, exceptions, and operational themes.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (eg Business, Risk, Technology, Ops Risk) to resolve issues and support servicedelivery.
  • Candidates with change / BA and / or projectmanagement experience within a Markets Operations setting would be considered.

Basic Qualifications / Experience

  • Experience in collateral management, marginprocessing, or post-trade operations within a banking environment
  • Good understanding of margin methodologies, collateral flows, and associated operational risks.
  • Ability to interpret and apply definedprocedures, controls, and escalation protocols consistently.
  • Strong analytical capability to investigatebreaks and reconcile data across multiple systems.
  • Effective communication skills, with the abilityto clearly articulate issues and outcomes.
  • Proficiency in working with large datasets(e. g., Excel or similar tools) to support reconciliation and analysis.
  • Awareness of control frameworks and theimportance of accurate control execution and evidence.
  • Ability to operate in a controlled, time-sensitive environment with competing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with core margin platforms
