This is an exciting opportunity to join Deloitte for an engagement with a leading global investment banking and asset management client. Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all parts of the firm to deliver banking, sales and trading and asset management capabilities to clients around the world. In addition, Operations provides essential risk management and control to preserve and enhance the firm’s assets and its reputation.
The Operations Client Service Team represents operations to our clients and internal stakeholders such as Portfolio Management. Tasked with the oversight of all operational functions, the role includes touchpoints with multiple stakeholders including the underlying client, external counterparties such as the Custodian, Client Relationship Managers and Traders. The team also works with Lead Portfolio Managers and other internal business teams to manage changes to existing client portfolio investments and resolve any queries that may arise.
Key Responsibilities:- Represent operations to our clients and other stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Work with Portfolio Managers and internal teams to coordinate and project manage changes to existing portfolios.
- Develop an understanding and become a subject matter expert of the multi-asset class investment process, including operational requirements.
- Collaborate with internal business groups, internal operations teams, external managers, custodian banks, and MAS clients to streamline the investment process and operational support for our clients.
- Must have experience within Asset Management Operations at a Junior Level (up to c2 years' experience).
- Strong project management skills including ability to organise and track multiple projects in parallel, delivery on tight timelines, and a hands-on approach to resolving issues.
- Must be able to handle multiple, complex tasks, prioritise effectively and be flexible as needs change.
- Excellent communication skills (including written, verbal, and presentation).
- Highly organised, with attention-to-detail and excellent follow-through.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment and demonstrate a high level of self-motivation.
- Ability to manage concurrent assignments in an effective and efficient manner.
