Arising from increased levels of activity and demand within the Tax practice, Deloitte is offering excellent management level career opportunities for candidates with strong corporate tax experience to join our Northern Ireland Tax practice. Joining our team will allow you to expand your client relationship skills and build on your tax compliance and advisory skills.

About the role

As a Senior Manager you will focus on the management and delivery of client engagements, as well as lead generation and business development. You will use your commercial awareness and professional expertise, along with leveraging the skills and expertise of others, to deliver the best possible experience and outcomes for our clients. You will develop high-performing people and teams, leading and supporting them to make an impact that matters, and setting the direction to deliver exceptional client service. This entails a variety of challenging activities:

  • Ownership and development of existing client relationships and cultivation of new relationships, including leading a portfolio of clients.
  • Supporting senior team members and subject matter specialists in communication, marketing and delivery of a range of advisory and compliance services to clients.
  • Dealing with HM Revenue and Customs on technical matters.
  • Development of the technical and operational skill set of junior team members.
  • Managing and overseeing compliance, reporting and advisory projects, with regards to managing client and statutory deadlines, billing requirements and delegating effectively to your team.
  • Working effectively as part of a diverse, inclusive team, ensuring the smooth running of the business unit, in a culture where people are recognised for their contribution.

About You

  • ACA or CTA qualifications, or equivalent.
  • Desire to develop and become a key part in further growing an already successful team and business.
  • Strong business acumen and commercial and market awareness, combined with an ability to build new business.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the external environment rapidly and to respond to clients appropriately in this context.
  • Prioritise the importance of teaming with colleagues and have the ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
  • Experience of delegation and skills to develop more junior members of the team.
