Cyber Security is critical to every organisation. We are designing and building solutions to help secure some of the largest financial services organisations, and we need you to join us. You’ll build strong relationships as one of the areas of our cyber practice with over 450 extremely talented individuals in the UK alone, as part of a Technology and Transformation practice of 7,500 people.

Enterprise Security, within Deloitte Cyber, is a team of cyber security architects and engineers dedicated to helping clients secure their technology ecosystems. Our work spans the breadth of the commercial sector covering areas such as cloud security, Zero Trust, DevSecOps, data protection, and identity security.

We partner with organisations to design and implement security solutions that are practical, scalable, and aligned with business goals. As a team, we are focused on growing our Security Architecture and Secure by Design capabilities to drive innovation and excellence.

As a Senior Cyber Security Architect, you will:

  • Deliver impactful security solutions to clients – advising on risk, designing architectures, and driving security adoption.
  • Influence leadership and technical teams – bridging the gap between security, business, and IT.
  • Build and mentor teams – helping shape the future of our Security Architecture practice.
  • Support sales growth – either through contributing to capabilities and proposals or directly through the cultivation of trusted client relationships.

This varied role will allow you to:

Security Architecture & Strategy

  • Design and implement security architectures that align with business needs and industry best practices.
  • Guide teams on Secure by Design principles, ensuring security is embedded early in development.
  • Evaluate and integrate security tools and processes across cloud, applications, and infrastructure.
  • Present security insights to technical and non-technical audiences, fostering collaboration.

Leadership & Capability Building

  • Mentor and coach fellow teams, fostering an inclusive and growth-oriented environment within Deloitte.
  • Shape security architecture frameworks, patterns, and best practices for consistent, scalable client delivery.
  • Stay ahead of emerging security trends, ensuring our teams and clients are prepared for future challenges.

Sales & Business Engagement

  • Partner with clients to understand their needs and design tailored security solutions.
  • Contribute to business development, supporting proposals, pre-sales discussions, and building trusted client relationships.
  • Be responsible for delivering excellence, ensuring our commitment to clients is met and exceeded.

Qualifications and Experience:

You don’t need to tick every box, but experience in several of the following areas will help you thrive:

  • Cyber Security Architecture – Designing and securing cloud, applications, networks, data, or identity systems.
  • Secure by Design & DevSecOps – Embedding security in CI/CD pipelines and development lifecycles.
  • Zero Trust & Risk Management – Applying security frameworks and risk-based approaches.
  • Thought Leadership – Engaging in research and publishing in recognised forums.
  • Stakeholder Influence – Engaging with technical teams, business leaders, and executives.
  • Business & Sales Acumen – Contributing to security proposals and driving business growth.

A Bachelors or Master\’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject is preferred but not critical.

  • Security certifications: CISSP, CISM, GIAC, PCIRM or equivalents.
  • Architecture certifications: SABSA, TOGAF or equivalents.
  • Cloud & security vendor certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP or equivalents).
