Responsibilities

You will provide our clients with a full spectrum of services, covering proactive and reactive Cyber Incident Response (CIR) Services. The proactive arm of our business covers a breadth of propositions, including playbook development, wargaming, readiness assessments, post-breach assessments, managed threat hunting as well as implementing response automation technologies. Our specialists work with clients to uplift their maturity and fundamentally enhance their preparedness to respond, via targeted capability uplift, C-Suite awareness campaigns and training.

Our technical response team support our clients in live incident responses by working to identify root causes and evict threats. Our professionals apply their experience and imagination to find the most advanced threats, hiding in the darkest corners of the network. Not only do we identify where these threats are, we also remove them from the network, preventing business-disrupting damage from occurring. With a unique collection of skills, methodologies, and strategic award-winning vendor relationships, we can do whatever it takes – from improving the security of a single component to delivering a holistic security and privacy program.

As a Cyber Incident Response Advisory and Incident Management Senior Manager or Associate Director, you will focus on developing our business across both proactive and reactive services, whilst leading our advisory engagements and supporting live responses in an incident management capacity. You should be willing and able to:

  • Apply a creative mindset that will enable you to solve clients’ issues whilst thinking around corners;
  • Lead teams, inspire colleagues and act as a trusted business adviser;
  • Lead the delivery of cyber incident response related engagements with our clients, working seamlessly and collaboratively with colleagues;
  • Lead business development activities such as go-to-market initiatives, proposals and client pitches;
  • Build strong relationships with our response clients;
  • Contribute to the development of our teams by training and coaching;
  • Manage diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution;
  • Contribute to the creation of new Cyber incident response related services and the development of existing services;
  • Increase the eminence of the Deloitte Cyber practice and engage with some high profile clients;
  • Be willing to learn and develop Deloitte staff, encouraging through training, mentoring and coaching.

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate strong identity skills and have the ambition to utilise Deloitte’s leading training opportunities to enhance and extend their capabilities.

  • Proven experience of incident management, crisis management, and/or an operationally relevant role;
  • A detailed understanding of the subject of Cyber Incident Response including a detailed understanding of key technical concepts and methodologies, attacker techniques, and threat themes;
  • Familiarity and experience writing incident response documentation such as incident response plans and scenario specific playbooks;
  • Familiarity and experience developing and facilitating incident response exercises, wargames and training sessions for all levels of organisations;
  • Proven experience delivering high quality, complex projects including effective program, project, financial and people management;
  • Experience in leading business development activities in the Private Sector;
  • Strong commercial awareness and business acumen, including specifically an excellent understanding of business processes and/or supporting technology;
  • Experience or familiarity in managing contracts;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor communications to people from a wide range of backgrounds and seniorities, including C-Suites;
  • Able to solve complex problems objectively individually and as part of a team; and
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience of developing strong relationships, either as a consultant or from internal roles.
  • Holds Government Security clearance, or is willing to undergo the security vetting process;
  • Strong academics, including a minimum of 2.1 degree or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with information security frameworks such as ISO27001, NIST etc;
  • Willingness to operate as part of an ‘on-call roster’, travelling to assist our UK and EMEA clients when required in an incident management capacity;
