Deloitte's leading Extended Enterprise (EE) team helps clients maximise revenue, mitigate risks, and strengthen relationships across their supply chain. Our Third-Party Compliance professionals within EE conduct detailed inspections of our client’s third parties to validate whether they are delivering in accordance with the terms and conditions of their contracts. Our purpose is to give our clients confidence—through fact-based analysis and insight—that their third party relationships are contractual, ethical, and well-governed, in order to enable responsible and sustainable growth and operations.

Our work is mainly focused on validating third party costs and/or revenue sharing to ensure our clients have not leaked value that could otherwise be invested in growing their business; however, inspections can also cover other risk domains, such as bribery and corruption, resilience and business continuity, contract management, etc. Driven by regulatory, consumer, and economic pressures, our clients are increasingly concerned about the value they get (and risks they face) from their third party relationships. Our Third Party Compliance team specialises in ensuring our clients’ third parties meet their contractual obligations, mitigate third-party risks across various risk domains throughout their supplier ecosystem, and minimise cost leakage.

Our expertise spans all industries and procurement categories/relationship types (e.g. construction and engineering, outsourced service providers, creative and media buying, repairs and maintenance, manufacturing, licensee, franchising, distribution, etc.), and across a diverse set of industry sectors (Energy, Pharma, Consumer goods, Technology, Sport, Infrastructure, etc.).

You will have the opportunity to collaborate with senior client executives across various industries and cost categories to enhance their third-party risk management capabilities throughout their supply chain. Our Third Party Compliance team gain deep understanding of business practices across industries, designs and executes complex testing on large data sets (usually with structured data) to give our clients valuable insights into how they can improve their contractual relationships. Examples of your responsibilities include:

  • Understanding client relationships with their extended enterprise, including customers and suppliers.
  • Understanding client and third party controls to comply with contractual terms (in particular around calculating the right charges and/or royalties due).
  • Conducting risk assessments of contract documentation, designing tests to validate compliance, and performing data analysis to assess financial and operational compliance.
  • Leveraging your analytical skills to identify and mitigate potential third-party risks (mainly cost/revenue leakage) across various industries.
  • Communicating findings effectively to clients and third parties and provide clients with insights into their third-party risks and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Supporting with engagement management activities during the entire project lifecycle, from planning and fieldwork to reporting and client presentations.
  • Building strong relationships with team members, clients and third parties, to ensure project success.
  • Mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment.

We are looking for applicants with the following professional skills and competencies:

  • Years of experience in External Audit (preferred), or other compliance, contract management, commercial assurance, or related fields such as claims management.
  • Experience in contract cost audits, revenue assurance, and/or commercial assurance.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerBI (or similar) proficiency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience leading junior team members.
  • A commitment to client service excellence and teamwork.
  • A proactive, self-starter mentality, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence.
  • Previous Professional Services experience and/or Chartered Accountancy (ACA or equivalent) qualification is advantageous.
