The Controls Advisory team supports those accountable for managing organisations technology risks and compliance requirements through driving efficiency, effectiveness, and modernisation of their control environment to achieve better business outcomes. We focus on increasing our client’s confidence in their compliance and control whilst reducing cost and effort.

As a S/4 HANA Role Redesign Senior Consultant, you will deliver and implement robust security solutions for our clients’ SAP landscapes. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP Security and hands-on experience with SAP tools and methodologies for managing security and compliance across SAP environments. Your role will play a crucial part in designing, implementing, and re-design of security roles in the S/4 HANA environment including SAP Fiori ensuring secure and compliant systems for our clients. You will demonstrate and develop your capabilities in the following areas:

  • Design and build roles, profiles, and authorizations for On-prem and cloud SAP systems (e.g., ECC, S/4 HANA, BW, FIORI) to enforce appropriate access controls.
  • Deep understanding of SAP Security authorisation concepts (authorisation objects, SU24 etc.) including FIORI to ensure that the design and build is in line with project security strategy.
  • Experienced extensively in creating and modifying Single Roles, Composite roles and Derived roles using scripts.
  • Experienced on S/4 HANA FIORI security, catalogs, groups, spaces, pages and troubleshooting authorization issues with Fiori apps.
  • Liaise with process, development, and functional teams to gather and understand security requirements and incorporate into design, build and testing.
  • Experienced on various functionalities of Access Governance tools such SAP Identity Access Governance (IAG) and Governance Risk and compliance.
  • Understanding of business role concept in IAG/GRC tool to design and build business roles.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of segregation of duties requirements, risk rulesets and subsequently embed into security role design.

Specifically, candidates should possess the following attributes:

  • Deep understanding of SAP authorization concepts, user roles, profiles, and good practices.
  • Strong technical skills in SAP ECC, S/4HANA and SAP Fiori, SAP Identity Access Governance (IAG), Access Controls (AC) and cloud applications such as SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
  • Ability to understand and analyse the segregation of duties report and remediate the risks from the roles.
  • Ability to assess risks, conduct root cause analysis, and implement good practice solutions for complex security challenges.
  • Ability to execute current state assessment for the security level of an existing system and providing solution to identified weaknesses.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve security issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead discussions, explain technical details, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Ability to independently work under intense timelines in a client facing role and maintaining a professional demeanour.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Excel for analytics and Word, PowerPoint is a plus.

The following will be considered an asset:

  • Professional certification such as SAP Certified Technology Professional, SAP Access Control 12.0, CISSP, CISM, or other relevant security certifications.
  • Qualify the criteria of UK Security clearance.
  • Working understanding of IT, Business process Controls for S/4 HANA and other relevant SAP application suite.
  • Knowledge & application of regulatory requirements such as SoX, GDPR etc.
