As a Resource Administrator you will work with the support of the Resource Manager, Resource Planners and business unit leadership to support the scheduling of practitioners across Audit & Assurance. The role is pivotal in the implementation and delivery of resource management services to provide operational excellence whilst supporting delivery of the business talent strategy. You will achieve this by working closely with the planning team and internal departments to ensure the effective deployment, utilisation and development of on and offshore resources. Within this role, you will develop your stakeholder management, communication and analytical skills to prepare yourself for progression at a later stage.
Support the Resource Manager/Planner with the budget/planning process.
- Take responsibility for managing bookings and updates to ensure that the scheduling system accurately reflects the current resourcing position and that it is up to date for a minimum of 3 - 6 months in advance.
- Manage holiday requests in conjunction with business unit policies, ensure holiday requests are appropriately approved and that dates are accurately reflected in the scheduling system.
- Monitor sickness/absence levels highlighting issues as appropriate and ensuring that dates are accurately reflected.
- Working with the Resource Manager/Planners support the scheduling, onboarding and offboarding process for practitioners.
- Develop and promote an understanding of the curriculum pathway requirements for junior grades.
- Work with the Resource Planners and Learning Managers to support with the planning of training dates, course cancellations, re-bookings and other issues as they arise.
- Develop and promote an understanding of grade learning requirements.
Confident and skilled verbal and written communicator. Ability to interact effectively with empathy, impact and discretion. Anticipating and recognising when conflict may occur and work to resolve these through supporting and escalating to senior stakeholders as necessary. A proactive attitude towards change and ongoing focus on improvement. Ability to gain immediate credibility and the trust of staff. Ability to gain an in-depth understanding of our practice. Ability to develop yourself and the team by seeking opportunities that stretch and challenge.
You will be supporting our offices across the UK, covering Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, London, Reading and Bristol. There will be an opportunity to travel to these locations. Although it is desirable that you have experience in Resource Management, this is not essential as full training will be provided.
