Whether you’re working with on-premise systems, Cloud technology, or custom-developed solutions, your expertise will help clients deliver continuous improvement and innovation, from initial design right through to implementation and optimization.

As an experienced engineer within Deloitte's market-leading Quality and Test Engineering team, you will collaborate with developers and architects to write reliable automated tests that not only challenge the application under test but also the design, the understanding and where possible the status-quo. The test tooling market never stands still, and we value engineers who are willing to rapidly adopt the latest technology, develop and share opinions and improve our collective knowledge base. Our clients vary greatly in terms of size, market, and tech-stack, and you will be at the forefront of providing client stakeholders with the confidence to release their changes, in addition to building, and leading teams, and nurturing the next generation of automation engineering talent.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Providing teams with the confidence they need to adopt continuous integration and continuous delivery practices by equipping pipelines with layers of automated tests
  • Contributing to development of Deloitte’s tools and accelerators
  • Working effectively as part of inclusive and diverse teams
  • Building your own brand within Deloitte by supporting the development of client bids and proposals

Connect to your skills and professional experience:

  • A passion for new technology and a desire to continually learn and grow as a quality engineer
  • Experience in implementing automation frameworks that cover at least two of the following applications: API, web, mobile, console and desktop applications
  • Understanding of DevOps processes facilitating Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipelines
  • Working knowledge of modern architecture patterns e.g., microservices, containerisation, their suitability, complexities, and alternatives
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Experience with some of the following tools: Selenium, Appium, REST Assured, SOAP UI, Serenity, SpecFlow, Cucumber, Jenkins, CircleCI, TeamCity, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, JMeter, Gatling
  • Evidence of contributions to open-source community
  • A programming language or cloud certification
  • Eligibility for UK security clearance to Security Check (SC) level, if not holding an existing clearance
