Our Assurance practice encompasses skills across regulation and finance with a deep analytics capability. We harness these to provide Assurance to those charged with governance, serving the public interest. Working in Assurance means you will have an opportunity to work alongside leading experts, as we help build and enhance trust between businesses and the public, by responding to emerging issues and protecting the public interest.

Providing assurance to help businesses become more resilient, agile and better prepared for the future. To be resilient, businesses must be ready to respond to current and future challenges and opportunities. They are increasingly being required to be more transparent with their reporting, to drive trust and confidence in the market, and protect the wider public interest. Assurance builds, maintains and develops confidence. We provide independent assurance by assessing the risks and underlying processes, providing conclusions as to which risks are being managed and mitigated in line with the business's appetite for risk.

Deloitte's assurance offerings help those charged with governance to understand their business and build trust amongst key stakeholders and regulators.

The Banking and Capital Markets Prudential Regulatory Assurance Team is a national team of regulatory experts covering the provision of Prudential Regulatory Assurance services across core prudential disciplines including: capital, liquidity, regulatory reporting, Pillar 3 disclosures, stress testing and wider prudential risk management expectations across risk types (e.g. credit, liquidity, counterparty credit risk, IRRBB market risk). Our team covers prudential requirements for both PRA (banks, systemic broker dealers) and FCA regulated entities (MIFIDPRU firms, payment firms).

Given the breadth of our team's expertise and client portfolio, we provide individuals with the opportunity to focus on specific risk and firm types, or broader exposure across risk types and firms. As an emerging leader of the team we will provide you with ongoing support to allow you to further develop into a leading specialist in your discipline, gain experience of others, and play your part in maintaining and building our esteemed position in the market.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work on a portfolio of client engagements simultaneously, managing internal and client senior stakeholders' expectations as well as developing junior members of the team.
  • Provide clients with practical and technical advice on specific elements of the prudential regulatory framework applicable to Banks, FCA IFPRU and other regulated entities (e.g. PRA/FCA Rulebooks and related Supervisory and Policy Statements, CRR3/CRDVI for EU firms).
  • Help clients to anticipate and assess the impact of regulatory change (e.g. Basel 3.1).
  • Undertake specialist reviews of core regulatory capital/liquidity/leverage calculations, ICAAP/ILAAP documentation and gap analysis of regulatory compliance.
  • Assist firms in preparing for and/or follow up arising from PRA/FCA interactions, including SREP/L-SREP themed visits, and in preparing applications for PRA/FCA authorisations or variations in permissions.
  • Benchmark prudential regulatory frameworks compared with peer/industry practice.
  • Foster an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution.
